To add or remove buttons, click on the Virgin Radio logo and select "Add & Remove
buttons" from the Toolbar Menu. This will open a secondary drop-down list with
all the available Toolbar buttons. You can turn the buttons "on" or "off" by
clicking on the item in the menu. A check mark to the left of the icons indicates
which items are turned "on."
The highlight feature easily allows you to locate your search terms on the search
results page(s). Clicking the "Highlight" button will highlight all your search terms
in different colors (up to 5) on the search results page. If you elect to keep the
"Highlight" turned on, it will highlight those search terms on all web (HTML)
pages whether they are accessed through the Virgin Radio Toolbar, your web
browser, or other sources. The highlight feature is a toggle switch that may be
turned "on" or "off" simply by clicking on it.
If you would like to highlight other terms on the web page, type the word(s) you
would like highlighted in the search box (do not click the "Enter" key) and click
anywhere on the web page; the new term will automatically be highlighted.
Note:
In order to make web pages easier to scan for important keywords, the
following terms will not appear highlighted unless they are entered in the Toolbar
search box as single keyword queries or appear in a "phrase" that has been entered
into the Toolbar search box using quotes (""): a, and, as, at, I, an, in, is, of, or, the,
to.
To shrink the size of your Toolbar buttons, click the Virgin Radio logo and select
the "Show button text" option. This option allows you to reduce the size of your
Toolbar buttons by removing the description text and changing each button into an
icon. By reducing button size, you'll be able to view more buttons on your Toolbar
at one time.
To move your Toolbar, simply click on the separator bar to the left of the
Virgin Radio logo and drag the Toolbar to the desired location.
Please note that on Internet Explorer 6.0 that the toolbars are locked by default. In
this case the separator icon will not appear, and the toolbars will be
immobile, until you right click on the toolbars and uncheck "Lock the Toolbars".
The 'Popup blocker' will automatically prevent any popups appearing on your computer
screen; by default it is in the 'on' (raised) position. To allow popups, click the button.
This will turn the Popup blocker to the off (indented) position. You can customize the
way this button works by going to the 'Settings' section in the Virgin Radio Menu (or
clicking the "Settings" button, which is the last button on the toolbar).
You can see whether the popup blocker is on by noting that the button is depressed.
Additionally, when popups are blocked, the button color will change to red.
Not every popup on a site is necessarily owned by that site. If the 'allowed' site displays
popups from 3rd parties (ie. popups owned by someone else), those popups will continue to
be blocked when the popup blocker is 'on'. To ensure you see ALL popups on a given site
(whether they are owned by the site itself, OR by a 3rd party), turn the popup blocker 'off'.
Periodically, Virgin Radio will automatically upgrade the toolbar to include the latest new
search technology and features. Occasionally this may mean older or less-popular features
are removed to make way for the new features our users have asked for.
If the radio player isn't appearing it could be due to another toolbar pop up blocker
stopping the player from appearing. Either allow pop ups to appear from the Virgin site
if the option is available, or turn off pop up blocker in the other toolbar, and turn on
the pop up blocker in the Virgin Toolbar.
Settings allows you to update your default Town/City name, stored stock tickers and
Popup Blocker options. For your privacy, data is stored on your local hard drive - not on
Ask Jeeves servers.
To add or remove buttons click on the Virgin Radio logo and select "Add & Remove
buttons" from the Toolbar Menu. This will open a secondary drop-down list with
all the available Toolbar buttons. You can turn the buttons "on" or "off" by
clicking on the item in the menu. A check mark to the left of the icons indicates
which items are turned "on."
You can choose to change the button format on your Toolbar from a "raised" look
to a "flat" look. Just select "Toolbar button format" from your Toolbar menu and
click "flat" or "raised."
If you do not see your Toolbar click the "View" button on your browser, select
"Toolbars" and click on the Virgin Radio Bar option.
If you are running an earlier version of IE 5.0 (without service packs), your
Virgin Radio Toolbar may be listed in the "Toolbars" menu as "Radio" (if there are two
"Radio" options, please click on the second option).
You can view more than one Toolbar at a time and neither Toolbar will interfere
with the other. To activate your other Toolbar click the "View" button on your
browser, select "Toolbars" and click on the name of the Toolbar you are no longer
seeing.
If you are experiencing browser problems, please try upgrading to the latest IE
browser. The other possibility is that you have another 3rd party browser plug-in
that when combined with the Toolbar is causing your browser to randomly crash.
If you want to continue using the Toolbar, please uninstall the other browser plug-in.
For your convenience, the Virgin Radio Toolbar is dynamically upgradeable. This
means that instead of you having to download a new version of the Virgin Radio
Toolbar whenever additional features or functionality are made available, these
features will be automatically added as non-active options to your Toolbar.
If you're using WindowsNT or Windows2000, check that you have the
Administrative privileges required to install applications. If you are unsure of the
status of your system privileges, check with your system administrator.

No. The Virgin Radio Toolbar does not track the web sites that you visit. The only information that we are concerned about
is the popularity of the Toolbar and of the different Toolbar features, e.g. how
many people use each of the Toolbar features. This information is sent back
to Ask Jeeves and stored in the AGGREGATE for all Toolbar users together. We use this
information to determine how useful the Toolbar is to our users, in order to better
serve you.
To report a problem with your Toolbar, please send an email detailing the problem to VirginRadioSupport@askjeeves.co.uk.
Be sure to include your Operating system (e.g., Windows2000) and browser version (e.g., Internet Explorer 5.00) to help us
better serve you.
